Near the coast of western Jutland, just south of Nissum Fiord, lies the manor Pallisbjerg, with an impressive main building from around 1900, which resembles other stately building of the era such as the royal residence Marselisborg in Aarhus. Through history it has been the home and property of noble families such as Juel and Trolle. In 1940 the manor was bought by the Danish state and made into a home for children. In recent year Pallisbjerg has been made into a conference center and holiday resort.
